I think so, but I'm not sure
Knowing that it is possible to customize dishes according to our desires, I am practically certain that it is possible to avoid foods containing Gluten.
A small, cute ramen restaurant that is definitely worth trying! We loved it when we visited Montreal.
Good broth and noodles. Portion sizes are also pretty good. The other east Asian items on the menu seem were authentic and delicious. Only thing is the eggs in the ramen (which I even ordered extra for) tasted just like hard boiled eggs which was a disappointment
The ramen was great! But what I loved more was their miso poutine! If you're on a poutine quest like me, you have to try it!
Really satisfying to a tired traveler. They only take ATM or cash. You can choose how spicy you want the broth. Really hot broth. Loved the pork belly. I just got the Sumo ramen.. they have a lot of ramen choices but kind of hard to distinguish them from the pictures on their menu so I just got the flagship ramen. Comfortable here to dine alone.
Very tasty ramen, good quality for the price, super good tapioca bubble tea. staff was nice and attentive!
Excellent. Wide variety of items on menu, not just ramon. Had grilled squid and unagidon. Very tasty. Wish I was here more often so I could try more of the menu!
Very good service, good meal
My go-to ramen restaurant in Montreal! Always good food and cute place. Nice music too!
Good location in the heart of Montreal. Quality and affordable ramen. Tried the fried squid and it was great. Server was bilingual and super friendly.
This is just very far away from how Ramen should taste like. If you know how Ramen should taste like, you better avoid this place. It was more like a Chinese noodle soup. The bubble tea was OK, though.
I have visited Sumo Ramen several times since its opening and I still love it! The gyoza has been my go to since day one as it's homemade and always fresh. The vinaigrette used for these dumplings is delicious! I was pleasantly surprised when korokke and steamed pork belly buns were added to their appetizers - they're quite good. The volcano ramen with corn is still my all time favorite here since I like my soup to have a bit of a kick. Also thrilled that they've added bubble tea to their menu! Perfect place for a quick bite or for a cozy catch up session with some friends! Staff is quick and also accommodating.
My first visit to the place, my girlfriend recommend that we go. I am glad that I did. Fantastic little place, great food, service, clean and well-maintained, not very expensive.. going to return often.
Quick and efficient service, waiters are very helpful. The food is delicious and fresh, I also like the variety offered on the menu. If you want to try something different, this is the place to be. Enjoy!
Food here is great. Love it. Service is great.
very good place. my family enjoyed our meal. the staff are very friendly too. Thank you.
Best ramen I ever had. The thing that surprised me a lot is that there is a lot of veggie options, and you can customize your own ramen bowl. Of course there are way more than that tho! Recommend to everyone! Amazing service as well.
Very tasty ramen soup! I brought my children they loved it. Will definitely go back and have this delicious comforting shoyu broth
So much good food for a good price. Great for taking the chill off
Food is delicious and portion is generous. Service is quick, the menu offers many choices, atmosphere is what you’d expect for Japanese ramen - casual and friendly. We like it and often go back to it whenever we are around.
One of the best ramen places in Montreal. I stongly suggest the miso broth, you won't regret spending the extra dollar. The BBQ pork is fabulous; it literally melts in your mouth. My only very small complaint is that the ramen style noodles are a bit too thin for my tastes. Try their udon!By the way, they also have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
The portions were good but the broth was pretty bland. Decent price. No issues getting seats late Friday night. The service was a bit lacking, had to flag the waitress town a number of times because they never really came by the table. Also they do not take credit, only cash and debit. If you don't have incredibly high standards for ramen, then this place should be sufficient.
Overall 2-star experience.Pros:-Service is excellent-Food presentation is very good-Place is very accommodating and relaxing-Place is small but big enough for the crowd and when eatingCons:-Food tastes mediocre-They force you to pay tip %15-No Wifi-The food is overpriced compared to per service and taste-Only accept cash/canadian debit
Super options, great service and very clean. If you are looking for a great experience with ramens it is a perfect place. Cheap for great food
I wish I can give 0 stars to this restaurant. first of all the waitress was terrible. She greeted us with a very bad attitude. Secondly the food was terrible. It is not authentic ramen at all. It is just ramen broth with cheap instant noodles. I really hate Chinese rip of restaurants. If you are not serving Japanese Ramen just admit it.
Delightful little place serving amazing food. The best ramen in town for by a fair margin..
Amazing food and good service. Plentiful portions and good prices. Extra barrier have been added to ensure a good, healthy environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The broth is good and the soup is very favourful. However the noodle isn't the best one I had but still acceptable! The price is fair and the service is quick. Perfect for lunch on a restricted time.
Delicious ramen at an affordable price. Great vegetarian options.
This little Ramen restaurant makes some of the best Ramen I've ever had. Excellent sized portions with great customer service. I love eating here, I recommend.
The food tasted like heaven. I don't often eat ramen but this might be the best one I've had in my life. I WILL be back 👍
Got ramen with pepper broth, spring rolls and fried fish balls. Amazing. Quick service. Good food. No frills attached. Cosy ambience
So delicious! Take the miso broth, it is incredible. Lots of delicious vegan options (vermicelli noodles, vegan miso broth, etc)
A classic that brings us back for more everytime, 8 years of loyalty to the best ramen in town
The best ramen I've had in a long time :) It came with he best egg I've had in my life 💓
Delicious, delicious delicious. Broth is yummy, eggs are perfect. Had the spicy beef ramen and it was perfect. Will bring friends soon. Super friendly service on top of this. Yummy
Space is tight and tables too close, but taste of ramens is great.
Cute little place to come and eat with friends. Cheap and delicious!
Had the ramen with chicken nuggets. Loved the chicken. The broth (shoyu) was ok - not enough body. I also prefer ramen noodles with more bite. The seasoned egg (1/2) was tasty. My friend had the veggie ramen with pepper based broth. Instead of chicken she had broccoli but costed a dollar more!?!Went on a Monday lunch hour. It was busy but service was still quick. If I find myself in Chinatown looking for a luck shot, I would try somewhere else. Price/quality is 3star.
Amazing ramen soup!!! 😋 Service was excellent and many options for the soup to choose the protein and the type of noodles. Has spicy options too! Good portions!
I did eat ramen in Japan and a place in Ottawa. This felt more like a pho soup and not a ramen soup. For "connaiseur" I would not suggest this place
Used to go there all the time when I was younger and it still is as delicious as always!
Ok, hear me out. I've been there several time. The food isn't bad, but its far from being the best. The location isn't too bad.Why 1 star? The staff.WORST service I've had in the Chinatown, the worst! Servers are dropping your plate angrily at your table, they look at you like serial killers AND on top of that; they beg for a tip and will lash out at you for not "giving enough".If you're going to beg for tip, at least deliver a service that is worth my tip. Having someone super rude with you when you're there to enjoy food and good companies with your friends or lover, you don't want someone angrily serving you. It happened often. Too often, to see servers there look like they hated customers. I'll never go there again.
One of the best ramen places in town! Good value and good taste. Eggs and pork are simply delicious!
Went there right on time when they just opened. The soup is so delicious and strong flavour. Asked for takeout and it was quick, service was nice that they even asked if we need some water to drink while waiting for the food
Pretty good out of the Wayne place. Vast menu lotsa of choice and good food
Noodles and side dish are nice. I love takoyaki, fish balls and Japanese dumplings there. Price is reasonable.
Nice place for the price. Decent ambience. Delicious ramen. Try the spicy beef Ramen was yum! Will visit again.
The food was so good. Completely blown away. I think I found my new ramen place when I go to Montreal.
Young crew running a very tight ship. Service is professional and efficient, dishes are artfully executed, dishes with a great depth of flavor and delivered fast. Have come here several times throughout the year. Always excellent value for money. Have had Volcano Ramen with miso broth along with other sides. All are excellent.
Very nice people working in the restaurant, a good atmosphere, and great food. The Takoyaki and Spicy Beef Ramen was to die for. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is a fan of Ramen and is visiting Montreal. Definitely coming back here next time I visit
